Spring
Welcome to Harrietville in the Spring. As the winter snows melt off our surrounding peaks, the Ovens River runs crisp and clear through our town’s centre. Gardens come alive with colourful displays of bulbs and plenty of native animals and birds as well as the locals come out to shake off the winter blues.
Harrietville is a great place to visit in Spring as the trout season opens and the natural beauty of the area is easily enjoyed by taking one of the many district walks, or sampling our local fare at one of our fine cafes and hotels. There are also many tracks for motor biking and horse riding or if your game, take a dip in our river or the Dredge pond. The Bluegrass Festival is held in mid November- a great weekend of music and entertainment.
